Hello world!

It’s mid January 2018. It’s the start of a new year and it’s time for our new year’s resolutions.  In the past I have made my new year’s resolutions, and forgot about them by the end of January. This time it’s going to be different. This time I am making a promise to myself. This time I promise to change the things I can, and to accept the things I cannot.

I have had to accept many things during my life. I have a lot of practice in this area, so it should not be hard. The hard part will be changing the things I can. The things I want to change are really bad habits I have let myself get away with for way too long.

The first bad habit is my sleep schedule. I need, and want, to become a morning person. This means I will have to change every aspect of my daily routine. This will not be easy for me. The second really bad habit I have is how I approach health and fitness.  I have nagging sweet tooth. This will be difficult. The third promise I am making to myself this year is to follow through with something. I give up too easy when I don’t see the results I want quickly enough.

I am starting this blog to hold myself accountable. This is the following through part of the promises I have made to myself. As I approach this New Year I am going to be documenting my health and fitness journey here and on my Instagram and Twitter pages. I will also be sharing with you along the way my love of design, fashion, makeup, DIY, and anything else super fun.

I will be updating you throughout the year to see how things are coming along. Sit back and enjoy the ride. It’s going to be interesting.
